El Tigre was rated as one of the top 10 courses you can play in Mexico by Golf Guide Magazine in 2018. It is part of the Paradise Village complex which features luxury
accommodations and upscale amenities – click on this link for a short video http://www.paradisevillage.com.mx/ The team of designers including Von Hagge, Smelek and Baril,
created this 7239 yard masterpiece. Visitors should look for the Paradise Village stone archway, which features a Mayan Temple motif.
On property is a beautiful 4,500 square foot clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant/lounge and outdoor patio with spectacular vistas. There is a targeted driving range with sand
bunker plus a huge putting green.
5 sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes measuring 7239 yards/ 133 slope, 6607 yards/125 slope, 6236 yards/121 slope, 5727 yards/128 slope for women and 5159
yards with s lope of 120 for ladies hitting from the red tees. As the slope ratings indicate, golfers will find significant challenges from the tips, while those playing the alternate sets
can enjoy a fair but playable 18 holes.
The green complexes present medium sized, mildly sloping putting surfaces, and the terrain from tee to green is gently rolling. There are sufficient landing zones on most
fairways, but water does come into play in some shape or form on 12 holes. Bunkers are strategically placed greenside, and the long fairway waste areas found on several holes
are usually playable.
Colored coded flags indicate the front, middle or back pin placements, and 100, 150 and 200 stakes provide estimated yardages along the well conditioned fairways. Golf carts
are equipped with Visage GPS which provide accurate hole location and distance information. The # 6 par three was our favorite hole – and with a rock retainer wall fronting a
green that demands a carry over water, is one of the prettiest par threes in the entire region .
You may be lucky enough to view the Bengal Tiger near the 17th tee, dependent upon the time of year. We highly recommend a round of golf here, get directions before driving to
