The Vidanta property in Nueva Vallarta features two 18-hole courses, a beautiful 10-hole par three, a Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf with targeted range, plus practice greens.
(New practice facilities will be in place December 2018.) To make matters more interesting, golfers have to traverse a long suspension bridge over a river separating Vidanta
from Nayarit. There is a gorgeous clubhouse on property that offers dining options and a lounge as well. Valet parking makes helps make this a first class experience!
NORMAN COURSE
The Norman course features Paspalum turf from tee to green, and was in spectacular shape during our early May visit. Five sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes
measuring 7287 yards/143 slope, 6793 yards/133 slope, 6221 yards/125 slope, 5748 yards/116 slope and 5256 yards with s lope of 116 from the red tees. There are plentiful
water hazards and strategically placed sand bunkers - keep in mind that the sandy waste areas are not hazards = you can ground your club.
The green complexes are medium sized to large, with gently sloping putting surfaces and some tricky undulations. Off the fairways golfers will usually encounter fairly even lies,
as the terrain is only gently rolling with little elevation change. Bunkers are strategically placed greenside, but the soft, high quality sand is relatively easy to manage. The waste
areas are manicured and easy to recover from.
Colored coded flags indicate the front, middle or back pin placements, and 100, 150 and 200 markers provide estimated yardages along the well manicured fairways on all par
fours and fives. The Norman is the newer of the 2 courses on property, and is longer and more challenging. The lit 10-hole par three Lakes Course is open for night play until
11pm!!
This is a gorgeous facility - we highly recommend spending the day or two here to play each course. For more info, visit our page for the Norman Course at Vidanta in our listing
