GENERAL INFORMATION
With 2 courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskoph, Vista Vallarta has been recognized as one of the top golf properties in Mexico. In fact, recently both golf courses at
the Vista Vallarta Club de Golf were ranked in the top ten for resort golf courses in Mexico by a panel of experts and published in Best Golf Guide to the Mexican Rivera Magazine.
Owned and managed by Club Corp, the facilities include short game and driving range practice areas, multiple putting greens, plus a luxurious clubhouse with a restaurant, bar
and lounge, verandahs, golf shop, and on-course beverage service. The entire property is situated in a lush, tropical setting, and the service is awesome!
Nicklaus Course
The Nicklaus Course was named number 79 among the 100 Best Golf Courses Outside the United States by Golf Digest! 5 sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes
measuring 7074 yards/144 slope, 6595 yards/137 slope, 6041 yards/124 slope, 5287 yards/117 slope and 5251 yards with s lope of 119 for ladies hitting from the red tees. With
rolling fairways and significant elevation changes, golfers will be challenged – especially from the 2 back tee areas.
The green complexes are medium sized, with some sloping putting surfaces, and the tree-lined terrain from tee to green presents plentiful landing zones. Golfers will often be
playing from uneven lies, with the ball below or above the feet, or side-hill. Bunkers are strategically placed greenside, and numerous holes with fairway traps demand accurate
placement off the tee.
Colored coded flags indicate the front, middle or back pin placements, and 100, 150 and 200 markers as well as sprinkler heads provide estimated yardages along the well manicured fairways on all par fours and fives. There are 4 par threes here, and they are beautiful designs.
